Strawberry Gin Cup – an interesting gin cocktail that combines sweetness, bitterness and herbal undertones
This recipe for Strawberry Gin Cup is refreshingly different. Gin and strawberry liqueur make for a winning combination and the herb and spice undertones of genitian and cinchona from the Aperol are complimented beautifully by the sweetness of the basil and freshness of the cucumber.
This cocktail an interestingly sweet cocktail with a pleasant, bitter finish…a perfect cocktail for the end of the week.
50ml Dry London Gin
25ml strawberry liqueur
125ml chilled soda water
cucumber sliced thinly
fresh basil leaves
Start by gently muddling a handful of fresh strawberries and a sprig of basil in the bottom of a tall glass, then add the ice, all the other ingredients and mix well with a long handled spoon.
Garnish with fresh strawberries, slices of cucumber and fresh basil leaves
